Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Bishop Nguyen Van Nhon of Da Lat, President of the Vietnam Episcopal Council, as coadjutor archbishop of Hanoi.
The appointment was made on April 22 after the Vietnamese Prime Minister’s approval, according to the Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs.
A ceremony to welcome the new coadjutor archbishop was held at the Hanoi Cathedral on May 7 by the Hanoi Archdiocese.
