Vietnam’s central Quang Nam province and Laos’ Sekong province finished planting 17 border landmarks in the first half of this year, bringing the total number of border markers to 56.
The figure was released on August 3 at the seventh meeting between the two provincial border marker planting groups in Tam Ky City, Quang Nam province, to share experiences and discuss future tasks.
Four remaining landmarks have not yet been planted so far as they are located at dangerous positions in high mountains.
The two groups agreed to complete the landmark planting before September and make legal profiles for the markers to submit to the border management forces.
