According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), more than 100,000 workers lost their jobs in the first half of this year, including more than 35,000 in Hanoi and 20,000 in HCM City. The rest belonged to Binh Duong, Danang, Hai Phong and Hai Duong.
The unemployment rate has driven many workers into difficulty while they try to ensure their living standards as the soaring prices of power, oil and petroleum directly affect their lives.
