It was the second time the fund has awarded scholarships to HCM City students.
The fund also provided the education sector in HCM City’s districts 7, 8 and Binh Chanh with VND100 million each as scholarships for poor students who excel in their study.

The fund is sponsoring a project to build computer rooms in all 64 cities and provinces across the country.  

The Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund was set up in November 2005 under sponsorship of the Phu My Hung Joint Venture Co. and the Central Trading and Development Co. subsidiaries.
