More than 30 international health workers from China, Laos, Cambodia, Belgium and Vietnam attended a seminar in Nha Trang in the south central province of Khanh Hoa on May 5 to discuss their views on the implementation of projects concerning mother and childcare issues in each country.
The event is part of a programme being funded by Handicap International Belgium. At the seminar, medical experts discussed measures to prevent fatalities and disabilities during childbirth, monitoring and caring for infants with disabilities and integrating them back into the community.
They also referred to the development of training programmes for community-health workers in Cambodia, a handbook on common congenital malformations in Vietnam and the efficiency of the Amadangpugu project in China.
The seminar will close on May 8.
