Nguyen Viet Manh, deputy director of MARD’s International Cooperation Department, said under the memorandum, the ministry will be responsible for providing OVBA with information about foreign investment projects on agriculture and rural development, which will then be passed to OVBA’s members.

The MARD will also help overseas Vietnamese businesses with administrative and legal procedures in line with the government’s preferential policies for agricultural projects. The ministry’s specialists will assist businesses in negotiating and signing investment projects.

The OVBA will take the initiative in choosing advisory members and recommending investment projects. The association will help link businesses and businesspeople who are interested in this field. It will also build plans and organize agricultural investment promotion events for foreign businesses.
