Lotte Foundation awards 76 scholarships to students
(VOV) - The Lotte Foundation on October 15 awarded US$200 scholarships to seventy-six outstanding Vietnamese students from eight universities for the 2015-2016 academic year at a presentation ceremony in Hanoi.
“I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the students who have excelled in their academic pursuits and received scholarships today,” said General Director Lee Jung Youl of the Lotte Hotel Hanoi at the event.
Youl underscored the point that since 2008 the Lotte Foundation has presented a total of US$55,000 annually in scholarships to deserving students in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
For the current year alone, Youl said the foundation has presented a grand total of US$180,000 in scholarships to 172 students at 23 universities in the four Asian nations of Vietnam, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
