Local universities given five stars in University Performance Metrics
VOV.VN - Researchers from the Vietnam National University in Hanoi on August 18 announced a list of five ASEAN universities that have successfully achieved a five-star standard according to the University Performance Metrics (UPM) System.
The five institutions consist of the Vietnam National University in Hanoi, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the University of Engineering and Technology in Hanoi, Kasetsart University of Thailand, and the University of Science in Hanoi.
The UPM system, which received funding from the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, was created in order to assess the responsiveness of universities during the era of Industry 4.0.
The system can be considered a suitable rating tool for universities throughout the region who aim to break into the leading 100 universities in Asia.
The UPM system evaluates university performance through 54 indicators across eight categories and follows two distinctive orientations, namely research and application.
