In addition to sampling bánh mì, attendees can also watch live demonstrations of how various types of bread are made, including hamburgers, dragon fruit bread, and donuts.
Hundreds of different types of bread from many renowned brands such as Huynh Hoa and Bay Ho were sold at various prices, ranging from VND20,000 to VND70,000 per loaf.
Nguyen Thi Khanh, president of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, said that organisers have closely coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety in order to host training courses focusing on food safety and hygiene.
Moreover, during the four-day event, the inspection team has continuously enhanced supervision at the stalls as it strives to ensure both food safety and hygiene, she stressed.
