Laos desires to share land management experience with Vietnam
VOV.VN -Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam has assured the People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City's desire to work with the people’s councils of Lao localities to share their operation experience as a contribution to deepening bilateral relations.
At a reception on January 11 for head of the Economic, Technology and Environment Committee of the Lao National Assembly Bounpone Sisoulath who is leading a Lao delegation to visit Vietnam, Quyet Tam noted with joy the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the two countries.
She expressed hope that experience exchange between the Lao delegation and the General Department of Land Administration under the Vietnam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will help the National Assembly of each side to fine-tune its land management law.
Boupone Sisoulath, in turn, thanked the Vietnamese National Assembly and Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council for sharing experience in parliamentary activities with Laos, adding that his nation is drafting a law on land management, which is of both nations' concern to ensure national development as well as the people’s interests.
Land management is a complex issue for Laos especially when it is facing a growing rapidly population and limited land fund.
He told his guest that he wishes for the HCM City People’s Council's experience sharing in this field in the future.
