The visit aimed to strengthen co-operation on information promulgation between the two countries in general and between VOV and Lao National Radio (LNR) in particular. VOV and LNR have previously organised a number of co-operation activities, such as radio programme exchanges, training reporters, editors and technicians and providing technical assistance.

Speaking at the meeting, VOV deputy general director Le Dinh Dao highlighted that VOV and LNR will continue to implement co-operation programmes such as exchanges of radio programmes and reporters, and offering long-term training for Lao reporters.

He said VOV plans to send technicians to help LNR upgrade its transmitters in June.
