KOICA-funded e-learning centre inaugurated in Hanoi

An e-learning centre at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology was inaugurated on May 15 with financial aid of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

According to Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper, the facility is part of the US$5-million project launched in 2010 to improve capacity for Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam (CLMV) in founding an ASEAN-ROK Cyber University. 

In particular, the project assists CLMV in the establishment of IT and communications facilities, human resource training and technology transfer. 

Under the project, Vietnam is provided withUS$1.8 million to establish and equip the e-learning centre and a Hub (connection) facility.
