The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee held a ceremony on June 18 to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and launch the 8th journalism award for the cause of great national unity in 2010.
Entries for the journalism awards must accurately reflect the local emulation movements in the lead-up to the National Congress of the VFF, the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi, the 80th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the results of the studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example campaign.
They must have been used or published by domestic media agencies from October 1, 2009 to September 30, 2010.
All Vietnamese amateur, professional, freelance and reporters working for media agencies in the country or overseas can take part in the event and the deadline for entries is September 30, 2010.
The prizes will be worth VND15 million, VND10 million, VND5 million and VND3 million.
