During their stay in Khanh Hoa, Japanese officers will call on leaders of Khanh Hoa province and the High Command of Naval Zone 4, while crewmembers will join sporting activities and exchange expertise with their Vietnamese counterparts in Naval Zone 4 before visiting some tourist attractions in Nha Trang City.
The visit is part of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties and to implement agreements reached by the senior leaders and defence ministries of both countries.
It has helped to foster the mutual understanding and trust between the Vietnamese Navy and Japan's Maritime Self-Defense Force and deepen the defence relations between the two countries so as to maintain and promote peace, stability and cooperation for the continued development of the region.
