Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang highlighted the years of invaluable support his ministry has received from the Japanese Embassy and JICA.
He praised Michio’s and Mori’s proactive contributions to environmental causes in Vietnam, acting as links between the two national governments.
The minister applauded the success of Japanese programmes designed to help Vietnam’s responses to climate change, raise the Vietnamese public’s environmental consciousness, and assist with policy making.
Both awardees said they were honoured to be recognised and pledged their commitment to fostering the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan and their fruitful cooperation on environmental issues.
