The project management unit (PMU) and Japan’s Nikken Sekkei signed a contract on Jan. 5 to provide consultancy services for the building and designing of the National History Museum in Hanoi.
The important project would help strengthen the friendship between Vietnam and Japan, said Nikken Sekkei executive manager Akihico Hamada at the signing ceremony.
The Japanese executive manager added that his company will use solar energy to mitigate carbon dioxide and propose the world’s state-of-the-art technology for the project.
The Prime Minister approved the national history museum construction project in December 2006, and assigned it to the Ministry of Construction as the main investor.
The museum will be located in Friendship Park in Xuan Dinh and Co Nhue communes of Tu Liem district, Hanoi.
