The Japan Government has agreed to provide ODA for a “medical equipment project” in Khanh Son district in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa.

The agreement was signed on November 4 by Ikuo Mizuki, Japanese consul general in Ho Chi Minh City and Dang Van Thuong, director of the Medical Centre in Khanh Son district.

TheUS$96,850 project will provide five kinds of medical equipment to the Medical Centre with the aim of improving people’s living conditions, education, health care, environment and rural infrastructure in remote and mountainous areas.

Earlier on November 3, the Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City signed an agreement with the Friendship Association in southern Kien Giang province to provide US$86,928 for a project to build five bridges in the districts of Hon Dat, Tan Hiep, Chau Thanh, Vinh Thuan and An Minh.
