Japan will provide Vietnam’s Central Maternity Hospital with equipment worth JPY461 million (equivalent to US$5.1 million) under a project signed by Japanese ambassador to Vietnam Mitsuo Sakaba and Minister of Health Nguyen Quoc Trieu in Hanoi on February 5.

The project is part of Japan’s non-refundable assistance programme for Vietnam.

Over the years the Japanese government has lent support to key hospitals in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue and Da Nang by providing technical training, non-refundable aid and loans.
