Eran Katz, an Israeli who holds the Guinness Book of World Record title in feats of memory, donated VND10 million for Starfish Fund, established by Miss Vietnam Ngo Phuong Lan, during his speech before an audience in Hanoi on March 16.

Miss Vietnam announced that the amount of money will be used to help disadvantaged children and Orange Agent victims across the country.

The money is sourced from the property rights for his two books: Secrets of a Super Memory and Jerome becomes a Genius – The Jewish Way to Brain Power, published in Vietnam by Alpha Books.

They have been published in more than 10 countries and are scheduled to appear in the US in September this year.

The two books describe methods to develop the human memory, such as the Roman Room technique, also known as the Method of Loci, an ancient and effective way of remembering information where its structure is not important. It serves as the basis of one of the powerful mnemonic systems used to learn languages.

Eran Katz confirmed that with these methods, he can help people to memorise from 800-1000 English words within 1-2 months. It also enables students to memorise their weekly studies in only 2-3 days.
