An international seminar opened in Hanoi on May 24 to discuss the role of community-based vocational training centres in human resource development and poverty reduction.

The two-day seminar was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs with the aim of implementing the Doha Declaration on development cooperation.

The event was attended by more than 70 representatives, including officials, vocational teachers and staff of research institutes from 15 Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) member countries.

ACD groups 30 Asian countries in a regional forum to exchange views and opinions on matters relating to common interest and discuss cooperation in more than 20 domains from energy and finance to environment and poverty alleviation.
