Int’l Committee of Vietnam Friendship Village meets
(VOV) - The 14th International Committee of the Vietnam Friendship Village took place in Hanoi on October 25 with the participation of international organisations and donors from France, Germany, the US, Japan and Canada.
Dang Vu Dung, Director of the Vietnam Friendship Village, said the village has fulfilled its task of taking care of war veterans and Agent Orange victims over the years. It has also coordinated with hospitals to provide orthopedic surgery and treatment for numerous victims of serious illnesses.

Over the past two years, it has offered medical treatment to nearly 14,000 patients and vocational training courses for disadvantaged children to help them integrate into society.
In addition, the village has successfully improved the qualifications of its medical staff and teachers.
Dung added that in the near future, the village will receive up to 1,000 war veterans from northern provinces for treatment and provide vocational training courses for numerous disadvantaged children.
