During the award presentation ceremony, the Prime Minister’s certificates of merit were presented to four organizations and five individuals, and 193 organizations and 153 individuals received certificates of merit from the Minister of Education and Training. Twenty-seven individuals were awarded insignias “For the Cause of Education”.
Speaking at the event, President Triet praised the support and contributions of those who work toward the nation’s education cause. He affirmed that the Party and State attach great importance to developing the education sector. “Education is given top priority in national policy and the State will invest more in the sector’, said Mr. Triet.
In recent years, the education sector has received strong support from the entire society and spared no effort to increase the quality of teaching and learning. It has also focused on educating students in ethics and actively implementing the campaign of “Studying and following the late President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples”
The State leader also called for more contributions from businesses and the entire society to the education sector and emphasized the need to use investments effectively.
At present, the country sector has launched a movement to promote the socialization of education, receiving strong support from media agencies.
