A seminar on management of persistent organic pollutants (PoPs) and appraisal of POPs effects on health was held in the central city of Da Nang on July 22.

The seminar was part of a project to improve the Southeast Asian region’s capacity for managing of health risks posed by POPs.

Participants in the seminar were introduced to some technical processes for treating of POPs in regional countries, as well as strategies for addressing POPs in Da Nang in particular, and Agent Orange in Vietnam in general.

The seminar, providing an opportunity for participants to learn how to apply the guidelines of the Stockholm Treaty in Southeast Asia, will run until July 24.
