More than 30 Overseas Vietnamese (OV) delegates from 19 countries, including Laos, Thailand, the UK, Poland, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Angola and Malaysia, will attend the Hung Kings festival in Phu Tho province from March 27-30.
The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (COVA) on March 23 said that it will organize activities for these delegations while they are in their homeland. In addition to joining an incense-offering ceremony at Hung Kings festival, they will visit some places in Lao Cai province, such as border posts and landmarks, as well as listening to an introduction about border demarcation and marker planting.
These activities demonstrate the ideal: “when drinking water, remember its source” of Vietnamese people, and the Party and State’s attention to the overseas Vietnamese community.
