Huge influx of people to Hanoi after Tet holiday

VOV.VN - Thousands of people returned to Hanoi on the morning of the first working day after the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

Many people began their first working day on February 21 (or the 6th Lunar January).
Vehicles creep along as they face congestion in front of Giap Bat bus station on Giai Phong Street because there are so many passenger buses carrying people from neighbouring areas to Hanoi.
A mother and son carry heavy luggage from their hometown to Hanoi.

Giap Bat bus station receives a large number of passengers travelling from Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, and Thanh Hoa provinces to Hanoi.
A bus stop is crowded with returning fares.
Dinh Thi Trang and her son from Ninh Binh Province had to ask for a leave of absence from her working place and her son’s school because they could not find any available spaces on a passenger bus on February 20.
Ngoc Tu from Ha Nam Province brings her children to join her living in Hanoi.

Some students return to Hanoi early to have extra working hours before going to their universities or colleges.
