A local company in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa put a hot air balloon into operation on February 6 in an effort to attract visitors to the tourist province.
More than 1,000 visitors had the chance to fly in the balloon on its inauguration day to see Nha Trang Bay – one of the most beautiful beaches in the world – and the panoramic view of Nha Trang City from above.
The balloon, which is fuelled by helium and natural gas, is controlled by a German, two French and two Vietnamese specialists.
Hon Tam Bien Nha Trang Joint Stock Company purchased the balloon worth 1.2 million euros from France.
The company hopes tourists will design personalised trips in the balloon, for instance, celebrating their birthdays or exchanging wedding rings while floating over Nha Trang.
