The cardio vascular centre at hospital E in Hanoi has signed a cooperative agreement with Okayama University in Japan to share their experiences, promote the exchange of doctors and nurses and conduct research.
The agreement was signed in Hanoi on April 13 in the presence of Vietnamese Minister of Health Nguyen Quoc Trieu and Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Mitsuo Sakaba.
Under the five-year agreement, Okayama University will help hospital E‘s cardio vascular centre to train specialist staff and share their experiences in clinical research.
At present, the centre, established three months ago with the assistance from the Vietnam-Germany Hospital, is providing treatment for 100 patients, 60 of whom are undergoing heart surgery.
The centre is also expected to provide more than 700 beds for child patients with heart-related diseases.
