The second ceremony to honour would-be leaders will be held in Hanoi on August 29.

The announcement was made at a press briefing in Hanoi on August 27 by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and Thieu Nien Tien Phong (Young Pioneer) Newspaper.

Would-be leaders are chiefs and deputy chiefs of unions’ detachments selected among more than 1,800 pupils from 55 provinces and cities across the country with a good academic record.

Nguyen Dac Vinh, secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee says that the “would-be leaders” awards not only honour outstanding chiefs and deputy chiefs but also inspire potential future youth unions’ officers.
