Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) island classrooms

(VOV) - Rector Bui Gia Hieu of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) islands believes that schools hold the world’s future leaders and it is his responsibility to provide them with a safe learning environment instilled with a sense of patriotism.

“Starting with the 2015-2016 academic year, students at the Nhan Viet High School have worn uniforms like those of naval soldiers,” said Rector Hieu.

Hieu said many activities at the school are themed around the nation’s islands and national sovereignty.
“Classrooms are even named after the islands,” said Hieu, and include such names as Song Tu Tay, Phu Quoc, Sinh Ton and Gac Ma.

Information on the islands is displayed prominently on walls in Song Tu Tay classrooms.

Images of Phu Quoc prison, rivers, beach, animals and plant species of Phu Quoc Island are also exhibited on the walls of a classroom in Phu Quoc.
The words ‘I love islands and homeland’ are embroidered in each uniform.
