Helping disadvantaged children enjoy Full Moon Festival

(VOV) - Vietnam Children’s Fund (VCF) has launched a wide range of support activities to help poor children throughout the country to welcome a happy Full Moon Festival.

As a result, around 3,340 children will benefit from the charity programmes.

The VCF will present 100 scholarships worth VND100 million and gifts to pupils from the ethnic minority boarding school in Dak Nong to give them a chance to enjoy a full-moon festival slated for September 24.

On the same day, 100 poor pupils will receive scholarships worth VND2 million each at a similar program taking place at the sports and culture centre in Hoai Duc district, Hanoi.

On September 25, the VCF will also grant scholarships worth VND300 million to 150 children in Thai Binh province while those in Lam Dong province will get gifts, scholarships and free medical check-up valued at VND500 million.
