Heavy rains submerge streets across Vinh City

VOV.VN - A prolonged period of heavy downpours has flooded many streets across Vinh City in the central province of Nghe An. Rain water has inundated some areas of the city so much that flooding on a number of streets has reached 50cm at the deepest point.

Prolonged torrential rain last night and on the morning of December 8 has left the main streets in Vinh City submerged in water.

Nguyen Van Cu, Minh Khai, Tran Phu and Quang Trung streets have been hit hardest by the flooding. 
In some places flooding is over 50cm in the deepest points.
 
 
 
Vehicles struggle to wade through the floodwater.
Some people have been forced to walk due to breakdown of their motorbikes.
The transport system in the city has been completely paralyzed
