The potential projects will focus on human resources development, lab tests, waste treatment and expansion of medical check-up and treatment networks in addition to the restructuring of State-owned enterprises under the ministry.

High on the ministry's decade-long agenda are policies aimed at encouraging medical personnel to work in economically disadvantaged communities and providing subsidies for health staff working in rural villages or mountainous communes.

In the immediate future, the Health Ministry will focus on upgrading clinics at the district, provincial and regional levels to help control epidemic diseases.
