HCM City to host Hospital Management Asia 2025 conference

VOV.VN - More than 100 speakers alongside hundreds of hospital managers and health professionals from 15 countries and territories will discuss hospital management and health innovation at the 2025 Hospital Management Asia (HMA) Conference in Ho Chi Minh City on September 10-11.

The year 2025 marks a pivotal moment for Vietnam’s healthcare sector, as the national health system faces numerous challenges such as an aging population, hospital overcrowding, workforce shortages, and the growing demand for comprehensive care quality.

In this context, hosting HMA 2025 not only demonstrates Vietnam’s proactive role and strong commitment to regional healthcare development, but also present an opportunity to connect, learn, and enhance the international profile of the country’s medical system.

More than just an annual healthcare event, HMA 2025 is a high-level industry forum with regional impact. Organising this conference in Vietnam is a strategic move in the country’s journey toward healthcare modernisation, especially in the post-pandemic era where hospital system restructuring, patient experience enhancement, and technology adoption have become top priorities.

While recent editions of HMA have focused on digital transformation and medical technology, the 2025 conference aims to reflect and reinforce foundational values such as patient safety, operational efficiency, healthcare workforce development, and patient-centred care. Emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), electronic health records (EHRs), Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) systems, telemedicine, and automation will be discussed not just as tools, but as critical enablers of quality and human-centred care.

During the two-day event, delegates will take part in more than 20 in-depth discussion sessions, targeting three main themes - quality and safety, patient and healthcare staff experience, and leadership and organisational models.

In addition, on September 12, delegates will join a field visit to several hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City to witness firsthand how Vietnam is implementing innovative strategies and treatment workflows in real-world settings.
