Mr Quan asked the municipal Party committee and administration to enhance its leadership role in combating corruption and dealing with prosecution.

According to the municipal People’s Committee, remarkable progress in anti-corruption has been made during the past year with more than 18,800 inspections being conducted, collecting around VND154.179 billion. In addition, the municipal police have investigated 14 cases of corruption involving in 44 persons who were accused of causing a total loss of more than VND78,000 billion.

Next year, HCM City will try its best to implement the national anti-corruption strategy through 2020 effectively by working more closely with media agencies.
