HCM City proposes suspending medical declaration for foreign arrivals

VOV.VN - The Ho Chi Minh City administration has proposed suspending medical declaration procedures for foreigners entering Vietnam in an effort to ease congestion at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the largest and busiest in the country.

Instead, the city recommends that passengers, upon completing immigration procedures, self-monitor and declare their health via the PC-Covid app during their stay.

The municipal government believes that the COVID-19 pandemic has gradually eased locally as the number of new cases tends to decrease considerably. The temporary suspension of health declaration procedures for people on entry will help facilitate their travel and reduce congestion at the airport, especially during rush hours or on weekends,

According to the latest COVID-19 regulations outlined by the Ministry of Health, people entering Vietnam by air are required to have a negative RT-PCR test result and make medical declarations at airports.
