The People’s Committee in District 1 of the southern hub on February 22 introduced an automatic restroom cabin, which follows the qualifications set by the ASEAN Public Toilet Standard (APTS).
ASEAN is short for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which is a political and economic organization whose members include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The structure covers an area of 2.2 square meters and is in a cubic shape, with solar panels attached on its roof.
The exterior of the toilet cabin is paved with stainless steel mirrors, while lavatory equipment inside is designed to be suitable for everyone, including children and disabled people.
The restroom is equipped with an automatic door, which can operate under all circumstances, even when there is a power cut in the area.
