HCM City issues construction permits within 15 days
Investors in HCM City will receive construction permits within 15 working days after applying online for level 3 public service registrations, according to the city’s People’s Committee.

Construction permits will be granted after approval of the application.
The online service aims to offer convenience and shorten the time of administrative procedures to individuals and companies, and improve the management of construction projects.
The district people’s committees are responsible for granting online construction permits to investors within 15 days from the date of issued online receipts.
A construction permit for residential houses in the city will cost VND50,000 (US$2.2) per unit.
Residents do not have to go to local offices and will only have to register for construction permits by submitting documents online.
Missing or invalid profiles will be sent back to be adjusted. Additions can be sent via text message or email.
Individuals and companies have to visit the office only once to pay the fees and receive the permit.
Last year, the people’s committees of districts 8 and Tan Binh carried out level 3 online public service registration level 3 on issuing construction permits.
The city’s Department of Construction plans to apply electronic construction permits on a trial run in early July, which would help shorten the time for approval to 42 days from the current 133 days.
Individuals and companies will go through three steps to register their projects, including basic design, construction design and construction permits.
