HCM City detects suspected COVID-19 community case

VOV.VN - The administration of Ho Chi Minh City submitted a brief report to the Ministry of Health on November 30 relating to a person residing in Hoc Mon district being diagnosed with a suspect case of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, with F1 and F2 cases being swiftly detected and isolated.

The patient’s recent movements include a visit to a coffee shop on November 23 followed by a trip to a department store on November 27, both of which are in Binh Hung Hoa ward of Binh Tan district.

In line with novel coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention measures a total of 13 cases in Binh Tan district who came into contact with the suspect case have been tracked and put into isolation, including five people who came into direct contact without wearing a face mask.

As such a total of five F1 cases were put into isolation in Cu Chi district on November 29. Furthermore, the remaining eight F2 cases were placed into quarantine at home.

The authorities of Binh Hung Hoa ward have moved to disinfect all locations where the suspect case traveled to in order to reduce the possible spread of COVID-19.
