HCM City customs officials seize 3.3 tons of pangolin scales

VOV.VN - The customs office at Saigon Port under the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department discovered and confiscated 3.3 tons of pangolin scales which had been illegally imported from Africa.

 
The containers were imported from Nigeria and the contents were declared as dried cashew nuts, addressed to Tan Vinh Thinh Trade Co, Ltd.

Upon examining the containers, customs officials discovered the pangolin scales hidden underneath the bags of cashew nuts.

At present, customs officials in HCM City are coordinating with relevant agencies to further investigate the case.
