HCM City cracks down on cosmetic smuggling

According to officials, the smuggled cosmetic products weighing a total of 5 tonnes were hidden in a container. The goods largely consisted of hair dye and moisturizing lotions.

Upon conducting an examination of the products, customs officials discovered that only four of the item categories had been properly declared to customs.

A further 20 other item categories had not been declared and were deemed excessive in quantity.

The case remains under investigation.
