VOV.VN - Hanoi claimed three categories at the Asia & Oceania gala ceremony of the 30th annual World Travel Awards held on September 6 in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to ultimate result, the Vietnamese capital was honoured as Asia's Leading City Tourism Destination in 2023 and Asia's Leading City Break Destination 2023, while the Hanoi Department of Tourism also received the title of Asia's Leading City Tourist Board.
Upon addressing the event, Nguyen Hong Minh, deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, emphasised that these achievements can be attributed to drastic actions taken by the Government, relevant ministries, and Hanoi in terms of reviving the tourism industry.
Furthermore, hotels, resorts, tour operators, and tourism firms have constantly improved service quality, whilst also designing a variety of tourism products in line with existing trends, he noted.
The local tourism industry will therefore strive to continue deploying a number of solutions for tourism recovery and development, while Hanoi is committed to actively co-operating with the World Travel Awards Organization in implementing tourism promotion activities to attract further international tourists over the coming years.
