Hanoi to honour nine exemplary citizens in 2016

The Hanoi Municipal Emulation and Reward Council released the list of nine residents to receive the title of outstanding citizens this year on October 4. 

These individuals were selected from 22 people nominated by State agencies, districts and towns across the capital city. 

They include Nguyen Quang Tuan – Director of the Hanoi Heart Hospital, Nguyen Trong Vinh – head of Nguyen Sieu School’s board of directors, Nguyen Van Hung – head of a special patrol in Khuong Mai ward, Thanh Xuan district, Dang Nhat Minh – former director of the Vietnam Cinematography Association, and Do Thuy Ha from the Vietnam Blind Association’s chapter in Dong Da district. 

They will be presented the honour at a conference slated for October 10. 

The title has been bestowed upon locals for their dedicated services to the city since 2010 with 62 recipients thus far.
