The Hanoi job trading floor made its debut in Hanoi on May 12. The new trading floor is considered a new, practical and effective model in employment activities, helping to bridge businesses and job seekers.

As many as 56 businesses and eight vocational training schools attended on the first trading session. According to a survey of 2,000 businesses by the Hanoi job service centre, there are more than 9,000 vacancies available for job seekers.


Do Thi Xuan Phuong, vice director of the Hanoi Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, said there will be four more trading sessions from now till the end of the year. As from 2008, the trading floor will be open every month.


Nguyen Dai Dong, director of the Department of Labour Policy and Employment, said the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs is implementing a project to build a system of job trading floors in 40 provinces and cities and 50 websites on employment with a view to raising the rate of job finders through trading floors to 30 percent.
