Hanoi leader visits victims of Chuong My floods

VOV.VN - Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai inspected flood recovery work and visited families in the outlying district of Chuong My on August 4.

The water level on the Bui River is stable, while floodwaters in residential areas and fields have begun to recede.

The leader of the capital city arrives at the dyke along the Bui River to inspect flood prevention work. He highly appreciates the great efforts of the 300 officials and soldiers and the 400 locals who have steadfastly worked to reinforce embankments and prevent the Bui River from bursting its banks on July 30.

Mr Hai visits some families in the flooded areas of Nhan Ly hamlet, Nam Phuong Tien commune.

Floods have killed hundreds of chickens and ducks at the farm of Nguyen Van Thuy, a local resident.

On behalf of Hanoi leaders, Mr Hai presents food and other essentials to local people.
