Participants agreed that activities should aim to promote the strength of great national unity by creating favourable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to preserve the national identity and develop the intellectual potential in order to make practical contribution to the construction of the country and the city.

The Hanoi municipal People’s Committee assigned relevant agencies to strengthen the dissemination of information on the Party and State’s policies among overseas Vietnamese and to pool further resources from oversea Vietnamese for the purpose of the enhancing the state management capacity and improving the efficiency of the city liaison committee.
