Hanoi hosts int'l expo on fire safety, rescue, and smart buildings

VOV.VN - Secutech Vietnam 2023, an international exhibition on security technology and fire safety and rescue, kicked off in Hanoi on July 19.

The exhibition is co-organised by the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, the Vietnam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition JSC (VIETFAIR), and the Messe Frankfurt Group of Germany.

The event features a total of 490 booths of 350 exhibitors from 23 countries and territories globally. Among the exhibitors are those from the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, India, China, Taiwan (China), Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, New Zealand, and Vietnam.

They are showcasing a range of advanced products and technologies in fire-fighting, security, safety, prevention and rescue, and equipment used in industrial zones, roads, banks, buildings, and smart houses.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Van Long described the event as an essential platform for domestic and foreign enterprises to exchange and share experiences, research, and invest in the security, safety, and fire protection industry.

Secutech Vietnam 2023 will also offer opportunities for relevant State management agencies in the fields of security, safety, fire prevention and fighting, and domestic enterprises to gain access to advanced technologies, solutions and products, as well as potential partners to support socio-economic development and better protect people’s lives, said Long.

In his speech at the ceremony, Nguyen Tuan Anh, director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, noted that the exhibition would help domestic and foreign suppliers to connect and establish new partnerships which serve the increasing demand for products of fire prevention and fighting, rescue, security, and safety.

This plays an important factor in helping the fire prevention and fighting police force to have domestically-produced products and equipment for fire prevention and fighting efforts to meet their work requirements and build a Vietnamese brand, he said.

A number of dialogues and seminars discussing fire prevention means and smart fire-fighting technologies will also be held on this occasion.

The three-day exhibition is expected to draw the participation of approximately 12,000 domestic and foreign visitors.
