Hanoi honors contributions by representative offices abroad

VOV.VN - Chairman of Hanoi’s Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has hailed the role Vietnam’s chief representatives in foreign countries as bridges promoting people – to – people exchanges and international integration.

Chung made the statement at a recent meeting with more than 100 of Vietnam’s chief representatives in foreign countries who are in Hanoi for the 18th National Foreign Affair Conference and the 29th Diplomatic Conference. 

He said he hopes ambassadors, consuls general and chief representatives will understand more about Hanoi’s policies and the direction of its development and continue to support the capital city in promoting its image, connecting with and seeking partners in development.

Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said Vietnam’s representative offices abroad have attached great importance to popularize Vietnam’s image and seeking partners in development, especially for Hanoi. 

He expressed his hope that Vietnam’s representative offices will do more in the future to promote a peaceful, friendly and developed image of Hanoi to foreign friends.
