Hai Phong wants to cooperate on HR training with Japan

(VOV) - The northern port city of Hai Phong wants Japan to help it develop a contingent of high-skilled human resources and an efficient support industry through its leading experts.

Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Thanh made the remark at a February 14 meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Horoshi Fukada.

The city is fully aware of the values created by high-quality human resources and it
is embarking on shaping up the support industry, Thanh said.

He acknowledged the Japanese Government’s contributions to the city’s past achievements in infrastructure building, transport links, and environmental projects.

The Japanese ambassador expressed his delight to see in-progress preparations for the construction of the Lach Huyen international deep-sea port in Cat Hai island district, and the Tan Vu-Lach Huyen cross-sea bridge.

He voiced his belief that these facilities, once completed, will draw more Japanese investors to the city and also shared his country’s experience in economic development.
