Guangxi-Yen Vien trans-container goods train to begin operation soon

VOV.VN - On August 11, the Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company (JSC) will inaugurate an international container train connecting Guangxi-Pingxiang in China to Dong Dang-Yen Vien in Vietnam, and vice versa, on a 35-hour journey.

Two trains will run every two days in the initially, and later every day. A train will have 20 carriages to transport machines, equipment and electronic goods of high economic value.

Hanoi Railway Transport JSC and a Chinese partner agreed to sign trust and agency contracts in transporting goods between the two countries.

It is expected that the international connecting train will meet the market demand for goods transportation and demonstrates the railway sector’s effort to improve the service quality to attract more customers.
