Graphic design contest launched to mark 50 years since Vietnam’s entry into UNESCO
VOV.VN - The UNESCO Office in Vietnam, in coordination with the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has launched a nationwide graphic design contest to create an official commemorative visual design marking the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s accession to UNESCO (1976-2026).
Open to all Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and above, the contest seeks a commemorative graphic design to be used alongside the UNESCO logo. The selected design will be featured in external activities, public events and communication campaigns, marking 50 years of cooperation between Vietnam and UNESCO in education, science, culture and communication.
The milestone shows a long period of cooperation between Vietnam and UNESCO, contributing to the country’s international integration and promoting common values of knowledge, inclusion and sustainable development. Through the contest, organizers aim to present that journey through a clear and meaningful visual identity for the public.
Entries will be evaluated based on their ability to convey the message of 50 years of Vietnam-UNESCO relations, aesthetic quality and compliance with UNESCO regulations. The first prize winner will receive two round-trip domestic flight vouchers sponsored by VietJet Air and two tickets to visit a UNESCO-recognized World Heritage site in Vietnam.
Submissions are open from April 10 to April 30, 2026, with results expected to be announced in May 2026.
Full contest rules, including technical requirements, eligibility, evaluation criteria and prize details, are available on the UNESCO website at https://www.unesco.org/en/articles/design-competition-launch-graphic-50th-anniversary-viet-nam-unesco-relations.
